Cabo San Lucas still carries its fishing-town roots in the working boats, captains and seafood kitchens around the marina. Downtown and the waterfront form its lively center, where neighborhood businesses sit alongside restaurants, shops and gathering places. With Médano Beach and Land’s End defining the coastline, Cabo’s identity remains closely connected to the sea and the people whose lives revolve around it.
One of Cabo’s original luxury residential communities, Pedregal rises into the hills beside downtown and the marina. Its gated entrances, established homeowners’ association and private hillside homes give it a quiet residential character. Winding stone streets connect homes overlooking the Pacific or Cabo Bay, while the marina, restaurants, shops and nightlife remain close by. That combination of privacy and proximity is central to life here.
The Corridor follows the Sea of Cortez between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. Desert hills, coastal coves and long stretches of shoreline frame residential communities, golf courses and oceanfront hotels. Areas such as Palmilla, Chileno Bay and Cabo del Sol each have their own character. Life here is more spread out, shaped by individual communities and their connection to the coast.
San José del Cabo’s historic center holds onto a small-town feel, with its plaza, mission church and streets of independent shops and galleries. Art Walk evenings bring artists, neighbors and visitors together, making the town’s creative life part of its everyday identity. Traditional Mexican kitchens, courtyard restaurants and contemporary cooking give the food scene its depth, with local ingredients and regional traditions at its heart.
On Cabo’s Pacific side, off the highway toward Todos Santos, Diamante is a private residential and resort community developed around golf, coastal dunes and open ocean. Its reputation rests on the Dunes Course by Davis Love III and El Cardonal, Tiger Woods’ first completed course design. Homes, restaurants and resort facilities are spread across the grounds, with golf cart rentals offering a convenient way to move around the community.
Just beyond San José del Cabo’s estuary, Puerto Los Cabos brings together private residential neighborhoods, an established homeowners’ association and a working marina. Golf courses designed by Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus follow the desert hills toward the Sea of Cortez. Around the marina and neighboring La Playa, restaurants, local cafés and creative spaces give the area its own social life. Golf cart rentals are available for getting around the community.
Santiago’s story begins with water in the desert. Around its oasis, orchards and ranching traditions have shaped generations of everyday life. Palm groves, regional food and knowledge passed between families give the town its character. For us, Santiago holds a cherished part of Baja’s Mexican heritage—a connection to the land and a community whose roots deserve care.
Deep agricultural roots and a creative spirit connect these neighboring Pacific communities. In Todos Santos, historic streets and an enduring relationship with art reflect a town that continues to evolve. In Pescadero, working fields keep farming woven into daily life. Their character comes from the people who grow, make and call this coast home—a Baja we’re proud to belong to.
